See the world as it really is with the They Live Alien Male Toony Terrors 6” Action Figure by NECA. Inspired by John Carpenter’s cult 1988 sci-fi classic, this figure transforms one of the film’s sinister aliens into a wonderfully stylised collectible.
Part of NECA’s popular Toony Terrors range, the figure combines horror and science fiction with a Saturday-morning-cartoon look. As a result, this alien invader is a fun addition to any They Live collection.
In John Carpenter’s They Live, a pair of special sunglasses reveals a terrifying truth. Hidden among ordinary people are skull-faced aliens who secretly control society.
Now, one of those unforgettable invaders joins the Toony Terrors collection.
Standing approximately 6 inches tall, the They Live Alien Toony Terrors figure captures the character’s distinctive skull-like face. However, NECA has given the sinister design a playful cartoon makeover.
Furthermore, the grayscale decoration reflects the film’s memorable black-and-white imagery. Consequently, the figure remains instantly recognisable despite its exaggerated Toony Terrors style.
NECA’s Toony Terrors range reimagines famous horror and cult movie characters as animated-style collectibles. Therefore, this They Live alien fits perfectly alongside the other monsters, slashers and movie icons in the series.
The figure also features articulation for different display poses. In addition, it comes presented on retro-style blister-card packaging, making it an attractive piece for collectors who prefer to keep their figures packaged.
There’s even a bonus cut-out display backdrop included. As a result, you can create a suitably sinister setting for your alien once he’s released from his disguise.
Directed by John Carpenter and starring Roddy Piper, They Live has become a genuine cult classic. Moreover, its aliens, subliminal messages and iconic imagery remain instantly recognisable decades after the movie’s release.
For that reason, this figure is a great choice for fans of Carpenter’s films. Alternatively, add the Alien Male to an existing NECA Toony Terrors collection.
Either way, put on the sunglasses and prepare to see what’s really hiding on your shelf.
