“Kill her, Mommy! Kill her!”
Jason’s mother is waiting.
Recreate one of the creepiest sights from Friday the 13th: The Game with the Pamela Voorhees Shrine Diorama from NECA.
Designed for 7-inch scale action figures, this detailed display piece recreates the disturbing shrine dedicated to Jason Voorhees’ mother.
However, this isn’t simply a backdrop. NECA has filled the scene with gruesome details from Jason’s world.
At the centre of the display sits the severed and decayed head of Pamela Voorhees.
Pamela’s rotting sweater also forms part of the shrine. Meanwhile, skeletal remains and other grisly details surround the display.
Beneath everything sits a muddy, dirt-textured base with stone detailing. As a result, the diorama has the grim and decaying appearance of its video game counterpart.
The shrine becomes even more atmospheric when the lights go down.
Built-in LED candles feature a flickering light effect, adding an eerie glow to the display.
Therefore, the diorama works particularly well as the centrepiece of a larger Friday the 13th collection.
The light-up feature requires 2 x AAA batteries, which are not included.
NECA designed the Pamela Voorhees Shrine for use with 7-inch scale action figures.
Consequently, you can add a compatible Jason Voorhees figure to create your own scene from Friday the 13th: The Game. Figures are sold separately.
A themed cardboard backdrop is also included. This helps complete the setting and gives the shrine even more presence on display.
Pamela Voorhees may have died at Camp Crystal Lake, but her influence over Jason never disappeared.
Indeed, the relationship between mother and son remains at the heart of the Friday the 13th mythology. The shrine takes that connection and turns it into a wonderfully gruesome display piece.
For collectors, it also offers something very different from another Jason action figure.
So, if your Friday the 13th collection needs somewhere for Jason to pay his respects to Mother, you’ve found it.
